Engineering

Senior Mobile App Developer

A key component of Netcoins’ product suite is our mobile app. We are looking for a React Native developer capable of maintaining and extending our iOS and Android apps. You will be responsible for architecting and building new features, as well as optimizing existing functionality. You will join a high performing dev team and will collaborate with Product and Customer Success on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Build pixel-perfect, buttery-smooth UIs across both mobile platforms
  • Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms
  • Diagnose and fix bugs and bottlenecks for performance that feels native
  • Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality

Skills

  • The stack:
    • React Native, Expo
    • Node.js, npm, yarn
    • Android Studio & SDK, Xcode
    • Sentry

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience building iOS and Android apps
  • Ability to write well-documented, clean Javascript code
  • Rock-solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
  • Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle, and Android Studio
  • Understanding of REST APIs, websockets, the document request model, and offline storage

Work can be fully remote. We are largely based in the Pacific time zone.

Product Designer

About the Role

The Product team is responsible for implementing strategy, building the roadmap, defining/designing product features and launching to market. As a Product Designer, you will be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from brainstorming the next great innovation to tweaking pixels right before launch. You will be expected to utilize your full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills, and you will own the experience for a wide area of our portfolio.

To thrive in this role, you are someone who works well in teams and enjoys collaborating. You can work with Product, Customer Success and Engineering to create the best solutions to problems, and can balance delivering high quality experiences to our customers quickly and iteratively.

You like to also work with other designers to provide feedback on their work, and ensure the team is creating a cohesive and consistent design system.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create wireframes, prototypes and designs for new product ideas/features that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like.
  • Design UI for the Netcoins App, web-based dashboard and mobile-responsive channels that meet our customers’ needs.
  • Present the wireframes and prototypes to the Engineering team and answer any clarification questions.
  • Collaborate with the lead Product Manager in defining requirements, building personas, writing concise development specifications and supporting other product ownership tasks as required.
  • Work with the Customer Success team to understand user feedback and conduct layout adjustments based on key priorities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency.
  • Constantly improve your designs by proactively gathering feedback from fellow designers, internal stakeholders and external sources of inspiration and best practice.

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience designing mobile, web and mobile-responsive UX / UI.
  • Experience contributing to and using design systems.
  • Experience with industry standard design and collaboration tools (Eg. Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Framer, After Effects, Jira, etc). 
  • Excellent project management skills – able to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication skills – our projects can be complex, often starting out quite abstract, so the ability and confidence to grapple with ambiguity and discuss this eloquently with senior stakeholders is essential.
  • Empathy for people – to accurately create user personas, journeys, wireframes and prototypes to inform an effective and positive final experience / design will require you to consider the point of view of a range of different people.
  • Desire to continuously learn!

Customer Experience Representative

Netcoins is looking for a dynamite customer experience representative that wants to be part of building an early stage company into a global leader. It’s an exciting time – we are growing rapidly and need to add to our team to accommodate the growth! This role is customer support focused, but the ideal candidate will be comfortable wearing many hats.

The Netcoins team is currently working remotely, and applicants should be prepared to work remotely for an extended period of time. We offer a competitive compensation package and full medical/dental benefits.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer support using many channels: phone, email, and live chat
  • Proactive outbound customer success engagement: via both phone and live chat/email 
  • Ensure retention and satisfaction of all assigned customers
  • Aid customers in achieving their goals
  • Listen to customers with empathy, and offer helpful solutions
  • Assist in creating email/help centre content to constantly be improving the customer experience. 
  • Work with the engineering team to replicate/escalate bugs and fix them in a timely manner

Ideally, you…

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in customer support/customer success or related experience preferred
  • French speaking is an asset
  • Have a strong interest in blockchain technology and/or are familiar with blockchain technology and the cryptocurrency space (or a desire to learn about it!) preferred.
